As a truck driver in the state of New Hampshire, you may be delivering one or many products that are grown or created in New Hampshire. The forests of northern New Hampshire and northern Maine provide a lot of the region's lumber. The lumber is used for many things, including construction, furniture, and even paper products. The state also relies on agriculture, especially dairy, fruit, and hay.
New Hampshire truck drivers use I-89, I-93, and I-91 to deliver goods throughout the entire region. In order to deliver goods throughout the entire region, you must be at least 21 years old and have an interstate commercial driver's license.
As you drive a tractor trailer through the state, you will probably cross, or follow closely, the Merrimack River, which begins in New Hampshire and heads south into Massachusetts. The Connecticut River is the state's western border. You will also pass by New Hampshire's many lakes, including its largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee. As you drive past these bodies of water, use extra caution. Fog and wet roads are an added danger when traveling near these beautiful bodies of water.
